VA Design is a proudly South African company that was first conceptualized by Cara-Lize and Etienne van Achterbergh.
We have always been fascinated by design and many of the furniture, fenestration and décor pieces in our own home has our unique fingerprints on them…figuratively speaking. The desire to design and ultimately manufacture décor and furniture has burned within us for many years and would still have been only a pipe dream if not for Covid. It was during this time that we truly came to understand the potential of a purely
e-commerce-based business model. The family business Van Acht Windows and Doors has been the undisputed market leader in fenestration innovation and design since its inception almost four decades ago. VA Design aims to follow in its parent company’s footstep by utilizing the hard-earned knowledge and specialized machinery that the Van Acht factory has access to.
